Planting underway in Grand Forks area

(Grand Forks, ND) -- Planting is underway in the Grand Forks area.

Grand Forks farmers took advantage of a break in the weather and began planting on Monday. North Dakota State University Extension Agents say only one-percent of all crops have been planted in Walsh County, farther north and west.

Farmers say spring wheat and sugar beets are two crops that need to get in the ground as soon as possible.
