(Walsh County, ND) -- The Walsh County Sheriff's office has ordered an autopsy following the discovery of human remains in a burned vehicle.
The vehicle was found about a mile north of Minto around 5:30pm last Friday. Walsh County Sheriff Ron Jurgens says the department has been able to learn of the vehicle owner's identity through a partially burned license plate.
The remains have been sent to the UND Forensic Pathology Lab for identification. The Sheriff's office says the case is still under investigation.
